General Information Session

Want more information about how to become a foster parent? A General Information Session (GIS) is the first step in the fostering process. During these sessions, we will be discussing foster care in Georgia, the different types of foster parents, and the requirements for becoming a foster parent.

IMPACT

Ready to take the next step of becoming a licensed foster parent? IMPACT is the next step. In this pre-service training program, we will prepare prospective foster and adoptive families for their role and to expose them to the basic skills and competencies needed to begin providing foster and adoptive care.

Already a foster parent? We offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs) throughout the year on an array of different topics relevant to foster care and your fostering journey.

One of the benefits of fostering through a Child Placing Agency (CPA) are the different opportunities provided to interact with other foster families. At Camp Rock, we try to provide these opportunities on a regular basis.
